Co., Forestville, Conn shelf clock with an 8 day spring driven time and strike movement in a wooden case with gilt design and MOP inlay, c1860. (5) A. S. Platt & Co., Bristol, Conn. iron front (painted with MOP inlay) shelf clock with a spring driven 30 hour time and strike movement, c1860. (6) Waterbury Clock Co., 4 Courtland St., New York, painted iron front shelf clock with a 30 hour time and strike movement, c1860. (7) Unmarked American iron front (painted) shelf clock with a 30 hour time & strike spring driven movement, c1860. (8) F. Kroeber Clock Co., New York, iron front shelf clock with a spring driven 30 hour time and strike movement, c1865. CONDITION: (1) Copper or bronze case; (2) The dial and bezel are missing. (3) The dial glass is cracked, the lower window bezel and glass are missing and the movement needs a new main spring. (4) The dial glass and lower bezel and glass are missing. The original painted dial is signed J. C. Brown, Bristol, CT. (5) The gong is missing. (6) The case retains most of the original painting, with some restoration, (7) Paint restoration to the top of the case. (8) The iron front paint and gilt embellishments are now gone. (9) The hands are missing.
